in a time out-wornLike I mentioned on the main page briefly, I really wanted this version of Merquise.net to showcase one part of the Hueco Mundo arc I found particularly beautiful. To be completely honest, it's been my favorite aspect of it (at least so far!)--not only because it demonstrated how awesome Rukia actually is, but it also highlights the instability and deep pain that she's been carrying around with her for so, so long. Once she overcomes the shock and denial, she literally remembers her strength and purpose. A valuable lesson in the importance of comraderie, trust, and believing in yourself. For this layout, I chose the poem Into the Twilight by W.B. Yeats, which you can read in full here. Any questions or comments can be directed directly to Lexa or posted in the guestlog. |
